This blog follows the property market in Northampton with a particular emphasis on buy-to-let. On here you'll find general commentary about the market, plus properties that may represent decent buys. I own a large estate agency in Northampton and am myself a landlord with an established portfolio. If you're looking to invest, but are unsure what will work best, I'm happy to offer a (free) second opinion. If you have a property to sell I can help with that too! Strangely Good Value in St James, £120k, £650 rent

3 bed freehold house

Unsure if there's a catch, but the following has appeared on Rightmove and looks good value. Decent area - very lettable for at least £650 - looks as though it only requires cosmetic stuff such as decor. It's certainly cheap, so I'd want to make sure there isn't a crack in the back wall(!), but assuming it's as genuine as it seems it's one to buy today. (note the 1 bed house from yesterday is gone already).
